Isaiah Mustafa Net Worth $5 Million

Isaiah Mustafa was the youngest of seven children of John Wali Mustafa and Shahidah Mustafa-Davis. Isaiah went to Santa Clara High School in Oxnard, California and later to Moorpark College, where he played American Football as a free safety and then wide receiver. Mustafa moved to the Arizona State Sun Devils and spent a few years trying to make his way into the NFL, but after tryouts with the Tennessee Oilers, Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks, he decided to pursue an acting career.

Mustafa’s first on-screen credit came in the short film called “The Last Supper” in 2006, and then he appeared in Bryan Singer’s TV movie “Football Wives” in 2007. By the end of the 2000s, Isaiah had played in such television series as the Golden Globe Award-winning “Ugly Betty” (2008), the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated “NCIS” (2009), and the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2009). In 2011, Mustafa played Officer Wilkens in Seth Gordon’s comedy “Horrible Bosses”, starring Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis. Although his role was a small one, Isaiah’s net worth significantly increased thanks to the movie’s gross box office takings of well over $200 million worldwide. Prior to that, Mustafa made the commercial for Old Spice called “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like”, which brought him national popularity.

In 2012, Isaiah had a part alongside Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Will Sasso in the comedy called “The Three Stooges”, and then he co-starred in Bille Woodruff’s TV movie “Rags”; his character Reginald Worth is important to the story about the hard-working teen who meets the young superstar on the street. He continued with the role as T in Michael Rosenbaum’s comedy “Back in the Day” (2014), while at the moment, he co-stars as Luke Garroway in the fantasy series called “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”. Mustafa is currently working in Darrell Wheat’s horror “Slumber”, which will be released later in 2017.

Regarding his personal life, Isaiah Mustafa has a daughter from his previous marriage – several references to his ‘ex-wife’, but no name – and is now apparently engaged to Lisa Mitchell. Mustafa owned a restaurant called Jo Jo’s Barbecue, on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, but it is closed now. He is a big comic book fan, and his great wish is to portray the superhero character, Luke Cage.

#Quote
Writers sometimes write things for me and I like to see what they write because I want to see what their take on my delivery is or what they think that I can do with something. So I kind of leave that to them.
I think commercials are something that everyone does to get out there and get a little bit of exposure, get their feet wet, and also pay the bills. So anytime you can be a part of a wonderful, fun commercial, that's just a bonus.
You know, I stopped being competitive after I played football.
I've been acting since 2002, around about there.
I'm just a normal guy.
If a woman is into me, it usually takes me awhile to figure that out. She has to hit me over the head with it.
I'm OK with being the Old Spice Guy because before I was the Old Spice Guy I was the guy looking for work on his couch.
I write short stories. I write every day.
Who names themselves 'The Situation?' I do not take myself seriously like that - not in the least bit - that would be so pretentious.
Listen, I'm a big fan of everything on NBC. When I think of comedy on TV, I really think of NBC.
Sorry, I'm not much of a cook.
When it comes to me, I know what I can do and can't do.
What is good hair? It can be anything to anyone. Good hair is healthy hair, whatever you perceive that to be.
Raising a daughter is hard work. There's no other way to describe it for me.
I believe there's nothing I can't accomplish.
I always feel at home doing a little bit of action.
I don't sit down and have meals too often, unless I go out for dinner.
I do date quite frequently.
I played football, honestly, to get a scholarship.
If you have the athletic ability, why waste it in one sport?
I'm a ninja! I like swords and knives and stuff like that.
I hope that my daughter grows up empowered and doesn't define herself by the way she looks but by qualities that make her a intelligent, strong and responsible woman.
People really love 'Madea' movies and get a kick out of them. They're phenomenally successful. People get excited when a new one's coming out.
When a girl finally texts me back, that ding on the phone is like an angel singing.
I love acting. I love performing.
I think an education is beneficial, but whether it takes an education to be successful in the arts is a whole other question.
I will always smell good.
I just like making people laugh.
I like hanging out with people.
