Jack Scalia is an actor and producer born on 10th November 1950, in Brooklyn, New York City USA. He has appeared in numerous television and film productions, but his perhaps most notable role was of Chris Stamp in the AMC soap opera, All My Children“(2001-2003).
Have you ever wondered how rich Jack Scalia is? According to sources, it has been estimated that Jack Scalia’s overall net worth is $5 million, as of May 2017. Scalia has accumulated his wealth through a versatile acting career which started in the early ‘80s. Since he is still actively taking part in the entertainment industry, his net worth continues to increase.
Jack Scalia Net Worth $5 Million
Jack was born as Giacomo Tomaso Tedesco, and is of Italian and Irish descent; his surname was changed to Scalia after his parents’ divorce and his mother remarried. He attended Brentwood High School where he intensively played baseball and was eventually drafted by the Montreal Expos in 1971. Unfortunately, he never played in the Major Leagues due to an injury. Instead, he turned to modeling thanks to his good looks, and did a series of ads for Jordache jeans and Eminence. Scalia’s first notable appearance in a role was in the TV crime-drama series ’’The Devlin Connection“. He had a recurring role in „Remington Steele“ (1987), its final season, and soon after joined the cast of ’’Dallas“ in the role of Nicholas Pearce. In 1992 Jack was cast as Detective Nico „Nick“ Bonetti in the TV series „Tequila and Bonetti“, which he reprised eight years later in the series revival filmed and aired in Italy. During the ’90s he starred in TV series „Pointman“ and films „Everything to Gain“(1996) and „Charades“(1998). However, his best known role was in „All My Children“, a soap opera which aired from 2001 to 2003; for this role he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the „Outstanding Lead Actor“ category. Upon the show’s end, Scalia appeared in movies such as the thriller „Red Eye“(2005), „The Genius Club“(2006) in which he portrayed President Halstrom, and action movie „End Game“(2006). His other notable film roles include „I’ll Take Manhattan“(1987), „Ring of Scorpio“(1991), „Lady Boss“(1992) and „Casualities of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story“(1993).
Although many of the series he played in were short-lived, Scalia has had eleven TV shows in which he was a part of the regular cast. While filming „The Black Tulip“ movie in 2009, Jack spent his free time visiting servicemen and women and has since been a speaker and host for various military events. Currently, he serves as the ambassador for the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes, a charity dedicated to making the life of wounded veterans easier. Scalia is still very dedicated to serving soldiers everywhere, and even participated in the 2016 Pearl Harbor 75th Anniversary Memorial Parade, and hosted the 105th birthday celebration for WWII veteran Ray Chavez.
When it comes to his private life, Jack has married twice, firstly to former model Joan Rankin and his second to Karen Baldwin(1987-96), the 1982 Miss Universe. He has two daughters from his marriage to Karen.

I was extremely insecure. Modeling fed the shell of the ego, but it wasn't the spirit inside. It helped me put up a front, because that is involved in performing, but that was only the shell. It made it much easier for me to take compliments, but I didn't have the awareness of myself as a person. - How did modeling help his insecurities.

I knew it was over. I was totally numb. And I'll never forget the next day. I was cleaning out my locker. I heard the cleats go clicking down the cement sidewalk. Then I heard the locker-room door slam closed. I was by myself. And I would stay that way for a very long time. - About losing his sports career.

The physical part of my life is very important to me because it burns off all my frenetic energy. I have always been the type who could never sit still. - How important is exercise?
4
Running and acting both have periods that are long and monotonous. With marathons, it's simply a matter of putting one foot in front of the other for hours. With acting, there's all the waiting around. But running helps my endurance and helps me set goals, to work in a direction that's character building. - The difference between Sports & Acting.
5
I stopped doing liquor ads and underwear ads rather early in my modeling career. They brought me a lot of recognition and I got to work with great photographers, but I've tried very hard to keep my morals intact. I believe in the family, I believe in God, and I believe in my country. I'm pretty tight with those three things. - Why he left modeling.
