Originally from a small town in Broward County near Fort Lauderdale, JackBoy took rapping seriously from an early age, and as he got older further developed his musical talents, but didn’t release anything until he was 19. He got in touch with rapper Kodak Black, and the two became inseparable friends. As Kodak’s career started taking a more upward-trending road, JackBoy followed him in his endeavors and the two often collaborated on Kodak’s songs. Inspired by his friend’s success, JackBoy took the microphone in his own hand and began recording his own songs. In no time his first mixtape was released, entitled “Stick Up Kid”, from which a few songs reached popularity, including “Grimace”, and “Bitch I’m Up”, which increased his wealth to a large degree.
