Jalen Anthony Rose was born on 30th January, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is a retired professional basketball player (NBA), in the positions of small forward and guard from 1994 to 2007. Currently, Jalen Rose works as a Spokesperson and Ambassador for the National Basketball Retired Players Association, and is involved on ESPN channel, working as a basketball analyst.

Jalen Rose followed his estranged father, Jimmy Walker, who was a successful basketball player in the NBA. In 1994, Jalen was picked 13th overall in the first round of the NBA draft (1994) by the Denver Nuggets, for whom he played for two seasons (1994 – 1996) before being traded to the Indiana Pacers (1996 – 2002) team.
