James Kimberly Corden was born on 22 August 1978, in Hillingdon, London, England, and is an actor, comedian, singer, producer, writer, and TV host. He is popularly known as the host of “Late Late Show with James Corden” on Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS).
So how rich is James Corden? He has an estimated net worth of $10 million as of early 2016, which he has amassed from his TV shows, movies, and theater performances.
James Corden Net Worth $10 Million
Corden is the only son of Malcolm, a musician, and Margaret, a social worker, and has two sisters named Andrea and Ruth. He attended Jackie Palmer Stage School and then Holmer Green Senior School. After a series of small TV roles, Corden landed his big break in the British series “Fat Friends” playing the character Jamie Rymer from 2000 to 2005, from which he received a nomination as “Network Newcomer Onscreen” at the Royal Television Society Awards. His net worth was rising steadily.
He then ventured out of TV and onto the London stage, playing the role of Timms in the original production of “The History Boys”, in which he also participated in the Broadway, Sydney, Wellington, New Zealand and Hong Kong tours as well as its film adaptation in 2006. That same year, he starred in the movie “Starter for 10”, and then gained prominence in the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) series “Gavin & Stacey”, in which he starred and wrote the show with fellow “Fat Friends” actor Ruth Jones from 2007 to 2010. The show earned him the “Best Male Comedy Performer” at the British Comedy Awards as well as a “Best Male Comedy Performance” at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). During the course of the show, Corden appeared in films “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People” and “Lesbian Vampire Killers”, the comedy show “Horne and Corden” as well as a guest host “Big Brother’s Big Mouth” with “Gavin & Stacey” co-star Mathew Horne. His net worth rose significantly.
After the series’ three season-run, he landed a supporting role in the “Three Musketeers” in 2011, and had a guest role in “Doctor Who”. He also became the narrator of the children’s show “Little Charley Bear”, and lent his voice in “The Gruffalo’s Child”. Then James returned to the West End as the lead actor in the play “One Man, Two Guvnors”, which also made its way to Broadway, and for which he won “Best Performance by a Leading Actor” at the Tony Awards”.
In 2013, he worked with “Gavin & Stacey” co-star Mathew Baynton to create the six-part BBC Two comedy thriller “The Wrong Mans”, which he also wrote and starred in. He also joined the all-star cast for the movie “Into the Woods” in 2014.
Later in 2014, Corden moved to the US as the host of Columbia Broadcasting System’s (CBS) “The Late Late Show”, succeeding Craig Ferguson in March 2015. His net worth continues to grow.
In 2014, Corden won £32,000 in a charity special of “Deal or No Deal”. He also supports various charities such as United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Children in Need, and Comic Relief. He also became Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the New Year Honors in 2015 for services to drama as well as an honor from Princess Anne during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace. His net worth is still increasing.
In his personal life, he had an on-and-off relationship with actor Sheridan Smith, whom he met on the set of “Gavin & Stacey”, from 2007 to 2009. He then dated charity worker Julie Carey and proposed on Christmas Day 2010. They had a son, Max McCCartney Kimberley Corden the year after, and subsequently married in Somerset, South West England in 2012, and welcomed another child, this time a daughter, named Carey in 2014.

Quote
1
[on a memory of getting his first laugh] I was three and it was during my younger sister's christening and I was lifted up to stand on a chair so I could see. I looked out at the congregation of about thirty or forty people, bu to me it seemed like thousands. And I started to do little dances on the chair and pull faces and turn around under my legs - and everyone burst out laughing. Even the vicar was laughing. And I can vividly remember something clicked and thinking, This feels amazing!
2
There's nothing nicer than getting a round of applause for turning up for work, It's amazing! You start work and people clap. Do you know what I mean? And then they stand up and clap at the end.
