In 2007, Bower was recommended to an agent while working as a part-time model for Select Model Management. This led him to one of his first roles in the film “RocknRolla”, a crime comedy film directed by Guy Ritchie. He was then cast in “Winter in Wartime” in which he played the role of Jack, and was actually highly successful in the Netherlands. In 2009 he starred in the remake of the series “The Prisoner”, in which he played Number 11-12, and during the same year Bower joined the “Twilight” series, playing the vampire Caius Volturi in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”, a role he reprised in “Twilight: Breaking Dawn”. 1 | I suppose having my private life splashed everywhere is the nature of the beast, it happens sometimes. That's one of the reasons I don't live in Los Angeles. You're only enticing your life if you do. |
2 | I grew up with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's films -- like Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Sleepy Hollow (1999) -- when I was first realizing that I really liked films and understood what a good film was. |
3 | People don't get it, they think I'm rich. I'm not! I have no money! |
4 | I'm going to cry until I get another job. I want to do more movies. I feel like it's a totally different skill set than there is to theater. It's much more internal. I'm an extrovert, I like to gesticulate and talk loud and stuff, and the theater is easy for me. I can go up there and spread my legs and go, 'Here I am'. Oh, don't get that wrong. Whereas in cinema you have to be much more thoughtful, and I find that a lot more challenging. |
