Jamie Cullum (Singer) Net Worth $12 million
To begin with, Jamie grew up in Hullavington, Wiltshire. During his adolescence, he listened to numerous musical genres, from rock to hip-hop, from jazz to blues and was influenced not only by artists such as Herbie Hancock, Tom Waits and Miles Davis, but also by the innovative albums of bands like Steely Dan. At the same time, Jamie claims that his brother, Ben Cullum, is his biggest influence; the two often collaborated as Ben played bass. As a student he played everywhere: weddings, pubs, cruise ships and bars. He graduated from the University of Reading in 2001, with a Bachelor’s degree majoring in English.
Concerning his professional career, Cullum recorded his first studio album called “Heard It All Before” in 1999, but only 500 copies were produced, so today it is very difficult to get this album – one was purchased on the Internet for 600 British pounds. In 2002, Jamie recorded his second album, “Pointless Nostalgic”, which sold a good number of copies in Britain and attracted the attention of journalists such as Melvyn Bragg and Michael Parkinson. In 2003, he signed a contract with Universal for three new records, and the following year recorded his second studio album, entitled “Twentysomething”, which has sold more than two million copies worldwide, and was nominated for a Grammy Award. The song “These Are the Days” reached 12th position and “Everlasting Love” 20th position on British charts, and 35th in the Netherlands, boosting his net worth considerably.
In 2005, Jamie recorded his third studio album “Catching Tales”, in which he captured various musical influences, from funk to jazz to hip-hop. Many songs have also been written by Cullum including “Get Your Way”, 44th on the British and 25th on the Netherlands charts as well as “Mind Trick” which was 32nd on Great Britain and 26th on the Netherlands charts; the nostalgic “Photograph” was written after finding a box of photographs. At the end of 2009, his fifth album “The Pursuit” was released in Los Angeles, and in 2013 the sixth album “Momentum” appeared, in which he almost completely abandoned the jazz sounds of the previous albums, orienting himself towards more commercial pop and sounds. In 2014, “Interlude” was released, an album entirely made up of covers by artists such as Ray Charles, Randy Newman, Sufjan Stevens and Dizzy Gillespie, with the participation of Gregory Porter and Laura Mvula. Most recently, in 2017, he released a single called “Work of Art”.
Finally, in the personal life of the Jamie Cullum, he married the supermodel Sophie Dahl in a private ceremony at the Westminster Abbey in 2010. In 2011, their daughter, Lyra was born, and in 2013, the couple announced the birth of their second daughter, Margot.

1 | 'Cullum' is Scottish, but I'm nowhere near Scottish. My mother is Burmese and my father is of German, Jewish, English ancestry. |
2 | I don't feel like making a quick buck and sleep around. My only ambition is to grow as a musician. |
3 | When Twentysomething became a hit, everyone found that it was time 'to catch up'. Old teachers, great-aunts, cousins related by marriage, 'friends' from the past... |
4 | People often ask me if it's hard to stay 'normal', but I don't see the difficulty in that. You're only famous in the eyes of others. Inside you're still the same and not a hundred million records or TV shows can change that. I think the only pitfall of fame is believing that it means something, and behaving like that. |
