Janet Louise Hubert was born on 13 January 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She is an actress best known for her portrayal of the original Vivian Banks from the television show, “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air”, starring alongside Will Smith. Aside from that, she’s also appeared in various television series, mainly as a guest. She’s also worked on films and video games, all of which have helped raise her net worth to where it is now.

One of the more notable appearances she made was in the original production of “Cats”, playing the character Tantomile.
Eventually in 1990, she was cast for the series “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air”. While she stayed there for three seasons, she ended her run with the series early due to an apparent violation of contract when she became pregnant. During her final season with the show, her pregnancy was accommodated into the plot of the series, and the following year she was replaced with actress Daphne Reid. Later in an interview, Will Smith would admit that he didn’t work well with Janet on the show.
Janet then worked on other roles, mainly just as a guest for various series. One of the more notable series she was in was for an episode of “Friends”, portraying the boss of Matthew Perry’s character Chandler. Hubert then went on to score a recurring role in the series “One Life To Live”, and even became a part of an episode of “Gilmore Girls”. Other series she’s been in include “NYPD Blue”, “The Bernie Mac Show” and “All My Children”.
One of Hubert’s recent works is in voice acting. She voiced the character Aunt Denise for the video game “Grand Theft Auto V” and was even nominated as part of the Best Vocal Ensemble for the Behind the Voice Actors Awards. She also worked on a memoir which was released during 2009.
For her personal life, it is known that Hubert has been married twice, firstly to James Whitten from 1990 to 1994, and she had a son. She has been married to Larry Kraft since 2005.
