Jason grew up in Winton, a rural part of Queensland – his father worked as a sheep shearer – and started his career appearing in Australian television series; some of these projects include “All Saints”, “Murder Call”, “Home and Away” and “Stingers”. A lot of his series would go on to find popularity and it helped him get more opportunities. One of his most notable roles was playing Tommy Caffee in the Showtime series “Brotherhood”, the crime drama television series following the intertwining lives of the Caffee brothers. His net worth increased thanks to the show and soon he would have film projects as well, being cast in “The Human Contract” and “Rabbit-Proof Fence”.

In 2009, Clarke appeared in the film “Public Enemies” playing “Red” Hamilton, an adaptation of the book “Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-1934”, set during the Great Depression. The following year, he was cast in the thriller “Texas Killing Fields” which starred Sam Worthington and Chloe Grace Moretz. Jason then became part of the Fox series “The Chicago Code” in 2011, playing Detective Jarek Wysocki, but which was short lived. His next project would be “Zero Dark Thirty” in which he played CIA Interrogator Dan – the film is a dramatization of the international manhunt for al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. Afterwards, Clarke’s net worth would rise further with projects such as the 2013 remake of “The Great Gatsby” which stars Leonardo DiCaprio. In the same year, he played the terrorist leader Emil Stenz in “White House Down” which stars Channing Tatum as well as Jamie Foxx. A few of his latest projects include “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” which is a sequel to “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. He also played John Connor in 2015’s “Terminator Genisys” – the fifth installment of the “Terminator” franchise, and which grossed $440 million worldwide.

Jason has also been nominated for several performances, including a Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor thanks to his performance in “Zero Dark Thirty”.

For his personal life, there aren’t even any rumours of romantic liaisons. One of the reasons for his international success is his ability to speak in a flawless American accent, despite being raised in Australia.

#Quote
1The guy I read and I love is Irvin Yalom.
2My favorite part of any project is the preparation. It's where you get to meet the people, the experts.
3In terms of publicity and interviews, well, it's really hard in this modern world to keep a sense of mystery.
4You need mystery. You actually do. I think that's what foreign women, French women in particular, are good at. There's still a sense that you need to keep some of the unknown because that's where the soul resides, or something.
5As an actor, the first thing you learn in drama school is you never judge.
6I am sick of living out of a suitcase.
7I can't complain about the roles that have come my way.
8I do want to have holidays and see my family and friends.
#Fact
1Not related to co-star Emilia Clarke, who played his mother in Terminator Genisys (2015).
2Appeared in two movies with Tom Hardy and Gary Oldman: Lawless (2012) and Child 44 (2015).
3Started acting in his mid-twenties.
4He grew up in a very rural, desolate part of Queensland. His father was a professional sheep-shearer.
5Although born and raised in Australia, he has never played an Aussie in an American production, thanks to his ability to speak flawlessly in American dialects.
