Jason Kidd is a former basketball player from America who was born on 23 March 1973, in San Fransisco, California USA. He played for many teams in THE NBA, including THE “Dallas Mavericks”, “Phoenix Suns”, “New Jersey Nets” as well as “New York Knicks”, starting the journey in 1994 and retiring in 2013. He is mostly noted for his impressive basket ball skills shown in the position of point guard. Currently, he has been serving as the head coach to THE “Milwaukee Bucks”.

Jason was born to an African-American father and an Irish-American mother, in an upper middle class family in Oakland. He attended St. Paschal Baylon School where he started to show his exceptional skills as a basketball player. He was noted as one of the top players of the country when he was in high school. He took his interest and passion to the next level when he enrolled in the University of California, Berkeley. Jason played basketball extensively in college and was then picked by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1994 NBA Draft, to begin his professional career. Jason started his career being awarded the “Rookie of the Year” title, and since then, enjoyed a hugely successful career.

Recognized as one of the best point guards of all time, Jason held a high profile before retiring. He played with four different teams in his career, and contributed to winning many titles for the teams as well as himself. He won two Olympic gold medals in 2000 and 2008. He is also remembered mostly for winning the NBA Championship in 2011 with his team the “Dallas Mavericks”. He played almost 1600 games, and was a 10-time NBA All-Star, and is ranked third in 3-point field goals, and second in assists and steals. All these achievements, and salary and bonuses contributed greatly to his net worth. After retiring from the sport as a professional player in 2013, he briefly coached the “Brooklyn Nets”, and after that he joined “Milwaukee Bucks” as the head coach, where he still serves.

Jason Kidd has married twice and fathers five children from different marriages. His previous marriage to Joumana, who is the mother of three children, ended in divorce in 2007 after a series of domestic abuse situations by Jason on Joumana. Jason has taken anger management classes after the incident. Jason is now an apparently loving husband and a caring father, married to Porschla Coleman who is the mother of Jason’s two other children. Jason has been ranked #28 in the list of top 50 greatest basketball players of all time, as published in SLAM Magazine.
