Born Jason Lee Whitlock on the 27th April 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana USA, he is a sports journalist, known to the world for his extensive work with Fox Sports and ESPN, while also working for sports newspapers, including The Kansas City Star among others.

The son of James and Joyce, Whitlock, Jason has a brother named James Whitlock II. He went to Warren Central High School, where he played football for the high school’s team. He then enrolled at Ball State University to study journalism, but also played football as an offensive lineman.
