Regarding his education, Jim attended the Wylie E. Groves High School, and following his matriculation, Jim enrolled at Yale University from which he graduated with a degree in political science and economics in 1980.
Jim had no interest in cotinuing the family’s dry-cleaning business, so his professional career began in 1980 soon after he finished his education, working for several firms in banking and investments, in turn as an analyst; his first employment was at Blyth Eastman Webber, and then he found engagement at Gilford Securities. Little by little his name became more known in the investment industry, and he was appointed as an analyst and then the Vice President at the Deutsche Bank Capital Corp.
