Joe Satriani Net Worth $12 Million
Joe Satriani was raised with sister in his hometown; at the age of 14, he began playing guitar, inspired by his idol Jimi Hendrix. His career began in the 1970s, when he was still in high school. He took guitar lessons from jazz guitarist Billy Bauer and jazz pianist Lennie Tristano, and soon started to teach others on his own, His first student was Steve Vai, with whom he later collaborated in the group G3. Little by little his name became more known, as his teaching business began to develop and he taught Kirk Hammett, Larry LaLonde and David Bryson, among others. As he got older, Joe began to feature in rock bands, such as The Squares, and The Greg Kihn Band, but then decided to start a career on his own.
His first album came out in 1986, entitled “Not of This Earth”, released through Epic records; however, it failed to chart. Nevertheless, Joe continued with his career, and the following year released his second album, entitled “Surfing with the Alien”, which reached No. 29 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and achieved platinum status. From that point on, his career has gone only upwards, and so has his net worth. So far, Joe has released 15 instrumental studio albums, some of which achieved platinum and gold status, which have increased his net worth by a large margin. Some of his most famous albums include “Flying in a Blue Dream” (1989), “The Extremist” (1992), “Crystal Planet” (1998), “Engines of Creation” (2000), “Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards” (2010), and his most recent release “Shockwave Supernova” (2015).
In 1995 he started a touring band, called G3, which consists of several guitarists, each year featuring different musicians, some of the most notable being John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Uli Jon Roth, Yngwie Malmsteem, among many others. His net worth continues to rise.
Joe`s net worth has also benefited from his collaborations, as he has worked with Alice Cooper, bands Dream Theater and Deep Purple, and he also joined the band Chickenfoot in 2008, which consists of Sammy Haggar, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith.
Throughout his career, Joe has been considered for numerous prestigious awards, including 15 Grammy awards, however, he still hasn`t managed to win one, being the third musician with the highest number of Grammy nominations, with Snoop Dogg, and Brian McKnight. When it comes to speak about his personal life, Joe Satriani is married to Rubina Satriani, with whom he has a son. Their current residence is in San Francisco, California.

[on giving autographs] I've signed the obvious things - body parts of every kind, just about. Women get their breast tattooed when I've signed them, bald guys have their heads tattooed with my signature. We've had a lot of leg signatures, just about every article of clothing. I think the weirdest was I signed a birth certificate for a young kid whose parents had named him 'Satriani'. He'll be wondering why he's called Satriani and not Dave or something.

I'm always focusing on melody and unique harmonies, and I try to bring in people who will enhance the rhythmic approach.

Radiohead - man, I like that band but they depress me sometimes.

Some of us are going to play faster than others. Hitting the right notes and getting your technique right is so much more important than speed.

Allan Holdsworth is a true living legend in my book because of what he did melodically and harmonically, and just in the pantheon of rock guitarists.
