As early as 1981, his professional career began to soar, as he was selected to appear in the TV series “That’s Incredible”, and after that he was cast in shows such as “The Merv Griffin Show”, and “The Tonight Show”. After those initial appearances, John was offered a contract by FedEx which he accepted, and made his first commercial for the company which earned him the Clio award for the Best Performance-Male, and also was the reason for his nickname which has stuck throughout his entire career – “Motormouth”.
