John Paul Jones Wiki Biography
Born John Baldwin on 3 January 1946, in Sidcup, Greater London, England, John Paul Jones is a talented musician perhaps best known for being a member of the famous rock music band Led Zeppelin, but John Paul is also a songwriter and record producer, as well an instrumentalist, being able to play bass, piano, mandolin, ukulele, violin, koto, organ, cello, and other instruments. John is a talented composer too, and he has also made appearances as a solo musician.
So just how rich is John Paul Jones? Sources estimate that John Paul has a net worth of $80 million, accumulated during his lengthy and varied career in the music industry.
John Paul Jones Net Worth $80 Million
John Paul`s talent was first noticed by his father, Joe in Paul`s early childhood. His father persuaded him to learn from him how to play the piano. His father also worked in the music industry, in particular he used to arrange concerts, tours and performances for various music bands in the 1940s and 1950s. John`s mom also worked in the music industry, and the couple used to tour a lot, with John Paul going along on the tours with them. For that reason he had to change schools, however, there is no doubt that his parents inspired him to start pursuing a career in music. At the age of 14, John also attended the church choir.
Some of the instruments John plays are really difficult to master, so it seems reasonable that John is labelled as one of the best instrumentalists when it comes to talking about the rock ‘n roll music industry. John is also famous for being a member of Them Crooked Vultures, another music band in which he performed along with such stars as Josh Homme and Dave Grohl. The incomes from Them Crooked Vultures have also considerably benefitted the total size of John Paul’s net worth.
His ability to play unusual instruments boosted John Paul’s net worth, and also saw him in demand – for example, John was asked to join Dave Rawlings Machine during the band`s tour, and to play mandolin.
John Paul Jones has released four albums as a solo artist: Scream for Help, The Sporting Life, Zooma, The Thunderthief in 1985, 1994, 1999 and 2001 respectively. His film credits include “The Song Remains the Same”, “Give My Regards to Broad Street”, and “Celebration Day”. John Paul composed the music for “The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb” and “Risk”. John`s talent also influenced the careers of such famous persons as Gene Simmons of Kiss, John Deacon of Queen, Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, Geddy Lee of Rush, and Flea of Red Hot Chilli Peppers. According to many music magazines, John Paul Jones is certainly one of the best rock musicians of all time.
In his personal life, John Paul Jones is in a minority in the music industry, in that he married his wife, Maureen in 1965, and they have been together ever since. They have three daughters: Tamara, Jacinda and Kiera.
