Jonathan Silver Scott was born on the 28th April 1978, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is a reality television star, producer, actor, and illusionist, probably best known as a co-host of “Property Brothers” (2011- ), “Property Brothers – Buying + Selling” (2012- ), and “Brother vs. Brother” (2013- ). Scott’s career started in 1994.
Have you ever wondered how rich Jonathan Silver Scott is, as of late 2016? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Scott’s net worth is as high as $10 million, an amount earned through his successful career on television. In addition to having his own reality show, Scott is also a co-founder and executive producer of Scott Brothers Entertainment, the company that creates television and film content for Canadian and US broadcasters.
Jonathan Silver Scott Net Worth $10 Million
Jonathan Silver Scott grew up on a horse farm in Maple Ridge, along with Drew, his identical twin brother, and an older brother JD. Thanks to his father who worked as an actor and assistant director, Scott began performing in small theatre productions at the age of seven. He also developed an interest in magic, and was quite successful in it, winning a few awards over the course of several years. Scott studied business management at the University of Calgary, and then pursued real estate and construction to finance his future film projects.
Scott’s debut on screen came in an episode of the cult series “The X-Files” in 1994, and he later appeared in a TV movie called “Circumstances Unknown” (1995) starring Judd Nelson. In 1998, Jonathan had a role in an episode of Chris Carter’s “Millennium”, but after that he decided to concentrate on producing rather than acting. However, in 2004, Scott and Drew founded a real estate company, but also stayed in the film industry and worked on numerous projects. Since 2011, the twins have been serving as co-hosts of “Property Brothers”, the series that follows the Scott brothers in their quest to find couples to buy and transform their new homes. The show has now been airing for six seasons, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 2015, which helped increase his net worth.
Following the success of the series, the twins created “Property Brothers – Buying + Selling” in 2012, and later “Brother vs. Brother” in 2013. In 2010, Jonathan and Drew established an independent production company Scott Brothers Entertainment and began producing television material. Jonathan is also working as a producer of many of his reality projects, and most recently, he and Drew created “Property Brothers at Home” (2014- ). His net worth continues to rise.
Regarding his personal life, details aren’t available, but Jonathan Silver Scott says publicly that he was married when he was (too) young, but it was short-lived. Politically he is a Democrat and endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016. Scott has been living in Las Vegas since 2007.
