Born in Detroit, Michigan, Randolph is of part-Finish descent, and started acting at a very young age. She moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting when she was 19, and joined a touring company in the play “Stage Door”. Soon she was acting in Broadway productions and television shows, making her debut appearance in the TV movie “Gander Sauce”. Her early years as an actress helped establish her career and also her net worth.

In 1951, Randolph’s career achieved a breakthrough when Jackie Gleason, a fellow actor and comedian, saw her commercial for Clorets breath mints, and asked her to appear on “Cavalcade of Stars”, a variety show hosted by the actor. After that appearance, she soon took over the role of Trixie Norton in the television show “The Honeymooners” aired from 1955 to 1956.

“The Honeymooners” originally appeared as a skit in Gleason’s former shows “Cavalcade of Stars” and “The Jackie Gleason Show”, and became so popular that Gleason created and rewrote it to make a television series. Although another actress was already playing the role of Trixie, the television show included Randolph to play the part of Gleason’s wife and turned her into a more traditional homemaker with dark past as a burlesque dancer. Despite ending after 39 episodes, the show created a huge following and became a cult classic.

Today, Randolph is the only surviving member of “The Honeymooners” quartet, which also included Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, and Audrey Meadows. The success of the show tremendously helped her career and net worth.

Randolph went on to appear in various television series including “Rocky King”, “Buck Rogers”, “Detective”, “The Doctors and the Nurses”, “The Jack Benny Program”, and “Honey, I’m Home”. In 2006, she also made an appearance in the dramatic film “Everything’s Jake”. Her various endeavours have all helped in building her wealth.

In terms of her personal life, Randolph was married to Richard Lincoln Charles, a marketing executive, from 1955 and until Charles’ death in 1997. Together they have one son, Randolph Richard Charles.
