When he was four years old, the Williams family moved from Panama to Brooklyn, New York, where he was educated at elementary school, then he attended the Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he started showing interest in journalism, as he became an editor of the student’s newspaper. Besides that, he also participated in other school activities such as baseball and other sports. In 1972, he enrolled at the Haverford College in Pennsylvania and in 1976 he graduated with a BA degree in Philosophy. The same year he began pursuing HIS dream to become a professional journalist, as he joined the Washington Post. There he developed writing skills for 23 years, working as a political columnist, covering political campaigns until 2000.

Before the 1990s ended, Williams joined the National Public Radio, and the Fox TV News Channel, which increased his net worth by a large margin. On Fox news he started working as a political analyst in 1997, and regarding NPR, he was a host of the talk show “Talk Of The Nation”.
