Mablean Ephriam was born on the 23rd April 1949, in Hazlehurst, Mississippi USA, and is a former Los Angeles prosecuting attorney, but best known to the public from her appearances in such television shows as “Divorce Court” (1999-2006), “Hollywood Squares” (2001), and “Justice with Judge Mablean” (2014-2016). Ephriam’s career started in 1982.

In 1982, Mablean opened her law practice, mainly dealing with family and personal injury cases, and soon after, she became a Los Angeles Prosecuting Attorney.

In 1999, Ephriam was chosen to be a judge on the television show called “Divorce Court”, which follows the real-life divorce cases in dramatic re-enactments. She appeared in 12 episodes until 2006, while in the meantime, Mablean also appeared in five episodes of “Hollywood Squares” in 2001. In 2005, Ephriam appeared in the comedy called “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” starring Kimberly Elise, Steve Harris, and Tyler Perry, and in seven episodes of “Celebrity Fit Club”, managing to lose over 12% of her body weight, and maintaining the loss.
