He was educated at the private boys-only Sydney Grammar School, and after matriculation he enrolled at the University of Sydney where he studied law, but soon left to enroll at the University of Wollongong, studying economics, but that also didn`t keep himlong. Instead of studies, Julian focused on a career as a model, and soon he was touring European cities Milan, London, Paris, and also started building his name in the USA, mainly New York.

His net worth began to increase, and also his career began to develop, as he started to appear on television, initially in commercials, but in 1989 made his acting debut in the TV series “The Power, The Passion” as Kane Edmonds. The next year he was selected to portray Ben Lucini in the soap opera “Home And Away” (1990-1991), then in 1992 he had a supporting role in the comedy film “Wet And Wild Summer”, with Christopher Atkins and Rebecca Cross. Four years later he was cast in the role of Detective John Grant in the crime investigation TV series “Profiler” (1996-2000), which not only increased his net worth, but also boosted his popularity.

After his tenure in the show ended, he secured the role of Cole Turner in the supernatural TV series “Charmed”, alongside Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs, staying in the show until 2005, but simultaneously auditioning for the role of Christian Troy in the TV series “Nip\Tuck”, running in it until its end in 2010, which added a substantial amount to his net worth.

As “Nip\Tuck” was becoming more and more popular, so was Julian`s name, and in 2005 he got the part of the super villain Victor Doom in the Tim Story`s directed film “Fantastic Four” with Jessica Alba and Chris Evans in lead roles, and he repeated the role two years later in “Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer”. He also had notable roles in “Premonition” (2007), and “Prisoner” in the same year. Four years later he appeared alongside Milla Jovovich in “Faces In The Crowd”, and in 2012 he featured in the film “Fire With Fire”, starring Josh Duhamel, Bruce Willis and Rosario Dawson, increasing further his net worth. 1I've always thought the show should have been simpler than it was, so for me, it was nice to have a little less than what we've been expanding upon for the last number of years
2There is a wealth of Australian talent in Hollywood right now but we're all pretty busy and it's not as though we're best mates. When we see each other, we say hello.
3I like the oppourtunity to play characters who have these dark sides but make the audience empathise with them. You want them to think there is some kind of sweeter, softer side to it.
4I always look back on Home and Away (1988) with fondness, especially when I'm in the UK. But I had no idea what I was doing back then. I just fell into acting. It was only later that I became passionate about it.
