Born in Russia, but raised in the USA, by an American couple who adopted her soon after her birth, once in her teens Justine fell in love with Muay Thai, and began focusing on a competitive career as a Muay Thai fighter. She fought in Muay Thai for the next ten years, and eventually won the World Muaythai Council championship belt in 2012.
Her professional debut in MMA happened in 2010, against Munah Holland, part of the Ring of Combat 33 event, and Justine recorded her first win.
