Karen Lee Orzolek, better known by her stage name Karen O, is a South Korean-born American singer and musician. She is the lead vocalist for American rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Worked in NYC, Washington, D.C., St. Thomas, USVI, and Quito, Ecuador as an advertising copywriter before starting all over in the film business, with the goal of becoming a screenwriter. Screenplays won numerous awards, including the prestigious: Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Nicholl Fellowship. Also an author, whose books garnered 14 top national and international awards.
