Kenneth Kasey Kahne was born on the 10th April 1980, in Enumclaw, Washington, USA. He is a professional race car driver currently competing in the NASCAR Cup Series for Hendrick Motorsports, and in the Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports. In the NASCAR Cup he has earned 17 victories, with his best results being 4th in the championship of 2012, 8th in 2006 and 10th in 2009. Off the track, Kahne is active in charity work and is a member of the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. Kasey Kahne has been active in the racing industry since 2002.

To begin with, Kahne began his career as a sprint car driver at Deming Speedway before moving to Skagit Speedway and then to the big time under the USAC. In 2001, Kahne won the season-opening race at Williams Grove Speedway, and was then recruited by Steve Lewis. In his first year on the circuit, he won the Rookie of the Year and won the national midget championship. Kahne continued to participate in the USAC, as well as in the Toyota Atlantic and the World of Outlaws series.
Continuing, Kasey made his debut in the Busch Series representing Yates Racing in 2002, participating in 20 races and entering the top 10 at the end of the championship. The next year, he changed his team, joining Akins Motorsports, and finished seventh. In 2004, Kahne entered the NASCAR Sprint Cup in the team of Evernham Motorsports, replacing Bill Elliott and surprising many NASCAR fans as he finished in 13th place – he also won four pole positions and won the Rookie of the Year at the end of the season. Kahne continued driving in the team until 2008, then in 2009 Gillett Evernham Motorsports and Petty Enterprises merged as Richard Petty Motorsports, with Kahne in the team, achieving two wins and finishing tenth in the championship. Currently, he has accumulated 17 wins, 160 Top tens and 27 pole positions in the Sprint Cup as well as eight wins, 86 Top tens and nine poles in Xfinity series. He has also participated in six races for the Truck Series, in which he has five victories.
