[on appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated] After my first Sports Illustrated cover, I felt terrible about myself for a solid month. People deal with models like they are children. They think they can pull one over on you. I'm not a toy; I'm a human. I'm not here to be used.
2
[on being religious] I was at a photo shoot and I was wearing a cross necklace that my mom bought me, and somebody made a joke like "Why are you wearing a cross? Like you would be religious." And then they took it away. I was really affected by that. The whole thing made me realize that I do want a cross with me, at all times.

I just think that pick-up lines in general are horrible. None of them work. I just want to say, "Ah, that was really cheesy," and walk away [...] I would've been like "Oh my gosh, don't touch me!". But then there's a balance. Like this one guy was trying to be funny - he was very direct and said, "Listen, let's be friends with benefits." And I was like "Nope, I'm more of a girlfriend type.".
4
[on a change in career direction] So if I get pegged as a bikini girl, that's fine, and that can still translate into acting or other areas. But, no, I don't wanna be doing bikini shoots my whole life.
5
It definitely happens more often than you would think when someone comes up and you're like "He's really attractive and seems really nice," and it just doesn't work if he smells bad.
6
[on being able to tell if a guy just likes her as a model or who she is in real life] I feel like a have a very strong personality, and they either really like it or they can't stand me. So I feel like they weed themselves out on their own, like "She's pretty... but she talks a lot.".
7
I want to be able to sing well, but I have the worst voice in the world. I really wanted to be a pop star like Britney Spears, but I can't.
8
I grew up in Florida riding horses, so for the majority of my life I was either in boots and jeans or a bathing suit. I understand why my male followers like me... It's like any job. You find your strengths and play them up.
9
[on negative remarks about her figure from pro thinness web blogger] I'm not going to starve just to be thin... I want to enjoy life and I can't if I'm not eating and miserable...
