Kofi’s family immigrated to the United States when he was three years old. He graduated from Boston College, and then had an office job before deciding to train as a professional wrestler. In 2006, he signed a developmental contract with WWE and then became part of Deep South Wrestling under the name Kofi Nahaje Kingston.
