Larenz Tate Net Worth $4.5 Million

Larenz Tate grew up in a family in which almost everybody was keen on acting. Lahnard and Larrom, two of his older brothers, are also actors. Larenz was never sure he was suitable for acting, however, he is the youngest son of the family, and his parents encouraged him to at least try to become an actor. It was when Larenz was nine years old and the whole family moved to California where you can probably find  the best opportunities for a career in acting, that Larenz attended classes in a drama program at the Inner City Cultural Center, and really saw definite prospects when classmate Malcolm-Jamal Warner rose to fame after being cast in the sitcom “The Cosby Show” in 1984.

Larenz Tate started his acting career with performances in episodes of such TV series as “The Twilight Zone” (1985), “Hunter” (1987), “Amen” (1988), “21 Jump Street” (1989), “The Wonder Years” (1989), and “Matlock” (1989). In 1991 – 1992 he starred in “Royal Family” along with Redd Foxx and Della Reese. These TV series benefitted Larenz Tate’s net worth considerably.

Larenz`s first major role in cinema industry came when he portrayed Kevin “O-Dog” Anderson in “Menace II Society” directed by the two brothers Allen and Albert Hughes, which was also the twins` debut as directors. Larenz collaborated once again with the Hughes brothers in 1995, during the production of the American crime drama “Dead Presidents”.

In 1996, Larenz Tate added a great sum to his net worth while performing in the American television sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, in the episode “That`s No Lady, That`s My Cousin”.

The amount of Larenz Tate net worth continued to grow with performances in “The Postman” (1997), “Love Come Down” (2000), “A Man Apart” (2003), “Love Monkey” (2006), and “Blue Blood” (2006). Since 2013 to the present day, the actor has been appearing in an American comedy–drama TV series “House of Lies” along with Kristen Bell.

Larenz Tate also increased his net worth while being a voice talent in the video game “187 Ride or Die” in 2005, plus Larenz is also the narrator of the educational documentary directed by Shaun Monson, “Unity”, upcoming this year.

Larenz Tate appeared in R&B singer Ashanti`s video “Rain On Me” which was released in 2003. There Larenz performed as Ashanti`s spouse who was very abusive. With such an idea, the producers seeked to uncap the problem of social and domestic abuse.

As for his personal life, since 2006 Larenz Tate has been married to Tomasina Parrott, and the couple now have three sons.

1What I look for in a script is the plot point and whether they're strong, obviously, or not, whether the characters are rich or not, and if I can do justice to the character or not. Some movies you look at and the script is so bad that no one can do anything with the script. I mean, that's probably why Denzel Washington turns down so much. It's like why go through all of the ups and downs of trying to have a phenomenal performance when the movie is just bad all around?
2It's interesting, because I've never seen myself as a sex symbol. It's actually kind of cool that women have taken to me. Because now I have a whole different demographic when it comes to the audiences. I have women who come out and support my movies and that is a huge demographic for me, which is great because some actors don't have a female base at all.
