To begin with, the boy was raised in Long Beach, New York. From his early years, he learned to play the trombone and tuba, then after dropping out of Long Beach High School, Åhr caught up by taking on-line courses. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career as a rapper.
Concerning his professional career, Gustav Åhr released his first mixtape under the pseudonym Lil Peep, which achieved ihis first success and fame with 4,000 streams on Soundcloud. In 2015, came the release of the EP “Feelz”, as well as another mixtape. Despite describing himself as bisexual, he was romantically involved with Arzaylea Rodriguez, and was previously in a relationship with the actress Bella Thorne.
He died on 15th November 2017, shortly before his scheduled concert in Tucson, Arizona, after he was hospitalized apparently suffering from an overdose of Xanax.
