Linda Rae Wildermuth was born on 12 May 1943, in Long Beach, California USA, to Evelyn and Ted Wildermuth, and is best known as an actress who initially caught the eye of the media for her roles in several TV shows in the ‘70s.
So just how rich is Linda Dano as of mid-2017? Authoritative sources estimate that Dano’s net worth is as high as $8 million, earned largely through her acting career, but she is also an author, businesswoman, designer and a former model. Linda is the owner of an 18th century home in Connecticut, which she used to share with her late husband Frank.
Linda Dano Net Worth $8 million
Dano left college for the sake of pursuing her modeling career, when she was recruited by Nina Blanchard’s modeling agency, and moved to New York. This was just a first step to the development of Dano’s career, as she soon became an actress for the 20th Century Fox Studios, portrayed numerous supporting characters for this studio during the ‘70s. After her contract with the studio expired, Linda joined the ABC TV soap opera ‘’One Life To Live’’ in 1978, and gradually gained fame in the acting industry, being a part of the show for two years. Her next role aa novelist Felicia Gallant in the TV show ‘’Another World’’ remains one of her most critically praised roles, especially as the show was ran from 1982 until 1999, adding significantly to her net worth.
During her ‘’Another World’’ days, she published the romantic novel ‘’Dreamweaver’’ under the name of Felicia Gallant, and in 1985, she became a hostess of the talk show ‘’Attitudes’’ alongside Nancy Glass. Their work was widely recognized and they were nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the category of Outstanding Talk show. Dano was active in this field until 1991. She had a lot on her plate at this point and alongside this job, she re-appeared in ‘’One Life To Live’’. The same character she has played also appeared on several more TV shows – “All My Children”, “Port Charles” and General Hospital” in a crossover episode. At this time, her fame was at its peak and she was nominated for several Emmy Awards in different categories, all of which helped boost her net worth.
Linda is widely recognized as a woman of style, thus she got the opportunity to publish several fashion and beauty related guides, as well as a guide on home decoration in the late ‘90s. Dano eventually left ‘’One Life to Live’’ in March 2004, and shortly after that, she played Lena Kendall in the CBS show Guiding Light, and the same year was a guest star in ‘’Desperate Housewives’’, among other TV shows.
In her personal life, Linda’s husband Frank Attardi died from lung cancer in 2004 – they married in 1982; only a week and a half later, her mother died as well. Linda was previously married to Larry Peck (1963-67) and Salvatore Giordano (1968-74). Linda openly admitted having depression at that point in her life, nevertheless, she is associated with many medical organizations that focus on the matter of mental health, prevention and treatment of those illnesses. She’s a member of groups such as the National Osteoporosis Foundation, HeartShare and an important financer in Catholic Guardian Society of New York.
