This eventually led to Fresh meeting with MC Gregory D, a disc jockey as well as a rap artist. Together with Greg Duvernay (known as MC Gregory D), Mannie Fresh recorded an album called “Throwdown”, which came out in 1987. Aside from “Cash Money Records”, Fresh was able to establish his own company called “Chubby Boy Records”, under which he released his second studio album entitled “Return of the Ballin’ which came out in 2009, and featured guest performances from Rick Ross, Lil Jon and Russell Lee. “Return of the Ballin’” managed to spawn two singles, namely “Like a Boss” and “Drought”, both of which contributed to the sales of the album.
