Manu Bennett Net Worth $1.5 Million

Manu Bennett hails from a famous family, the son of Ted Bennett, who was a singer, and Jean Bennett, who worked as a bikini model. When he was a baby, his family relocated to Australia, where he spent his childhood, attending Merewether High School, but in 1986 he moved back to New Zealand to attend Te Aute College. During high school he distinguished himself as a rugby player, but he carried his love for theater and acting too, so upon matriculation he enrolled at the University of NSW to study Dance and Drama. Afterwards, Manu moved to Los Angeles, where he enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute on a scholarship.

Manu’s professional acting career began in 1993, when he made his debut appearance in the teen TV series “Paradise Beach”, which was followed by roles in other TV titles, including “Water Rats” (1996-1997) playing Joseph Lipinski, “All Saints” (1998) in the role of Darren, and “Beastmaster” (1999) as Terron Leader. All of these appearances made his name known in the world of acting, and established his net worth.

The new millennium only changed the total amount of his wealth, and the number of roles as he became widely known. In 2000 he featured in the TV series “Xena: Warrior Princess” portraying Marc Antony, after which he was chosen to appear in the TV series “Shortland Street” (2000-2001) in the role of Jack Hewitt. In the 2001 film “Lantana” he showed his dancing skills, and the film was the award-winning. In the following year, he appeared in the Tomb Raider sequel, alongside Angelina Jolie, and then in such film titles as “The Marine” (2006), and “30 Days Of Night” (2007). His net worth rose steadily.

In the next decade, his first big role was as the Gallic gladiator Crixus in the TV series “Spartacus” (2010-2013), created by Steven S. DeKnight, which was followed by the role of Azog in the film “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” (2012), and its sequels – “The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug” (2013), and “The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies” (2014) – franchise based on the J. R. R. Tolkien book, all of which added a lot to his fortune.

Most recently, Manu was selected for the role of Slade Wilson/Deathstroke in the TV series “Arrow” (2013-2015), and he currently appears in the TV series “The Shannara Chronicles” (2016-present) as the druid Allanon, which is based on the novel series by Terry Brooks. His net worth is certainly rising, and he will also appear in the film “Death Race 2050”, portraying Frankenstein, which is currently in post-production.
