Emanuel David Ginobili Maccari was born on 27 July 1977, in Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina, to parents Jorge and Raquel Ginobili. He is a professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA, and a member of the Argentine national basketball team.
