Martin Eugene Mull was born on the 18th August 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and is an actor probably best recognized for starring in the role of Colonel Mustard in “Clue” (1985), Willard Kraft in the TV series “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” (1997-2000), and as Russell in the TV series “Two And A Half Men” (2008-2013). He is also known as a musician and painter. His career has been active since the mid-1970s.
So, have you ever wondered how rich Martin Mull is, as of mid-2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of Martin’s net worth is over $6 million, accumulated through his successful involvement in the entertainment industry. Another source is coming from his career as a painter.
Martin Mull Net Worth $6 Million
Martin Mull spent his childhood with his two younger siblings in Ohio, raised by his father, Harold Mull, who worked as a carpenter, and his mother, Betty Mull, who was a director and actress. At the age of 15, he moved with his family to New Canaan, Connecticut, where he matriculated from public high school. After that, he enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting. While still a student, he began performing with various bands, and parallel with that, worked as a stand-up comedian.
Martin’s acting career began in 1976, when he made his debut appearance in the role of Garth Gimble/Barth Gimble in the TV series “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” (1976-1977), which he later reprised in its spin-offs “Fernwood Tonight” (1977) and “America 2-Night” (1978), starring alongside Fred Willard. Since then his career has only gone upwards, as well as his net worth.
His first role in the next decade was in the film “Take This Job And Shove It” (1981), after which he appeared in other TV series and film titles, including the role of Ron in the film entitled “Mr. Mom” (1983), playing Martin Crane in the TV series “Domestic Life” (1984), portraying Colonel Mustard in the film “Clue” (1985), and as Dr. Doug Lambert in the TV series “His & Hers” (1990). All of these appearances added a considerable amount to his net worth.
In 1991, Martin was chosen to appear in the role of Leon Carp in the TV series “Roseanne”, which lasted until 1997. During the next year, he starred in several films such as “The Player” and “Miracle Beach”, and was chosen to play Doug Talbot in the TV series “The Jackie Thomas Show” (1992-1993), plus making a guest-starring appearance in another TV series entitled “The Larry Sanders Show” (1992-1993). By the end of the decade, he was cast in “Jingle All The Way” (1996), and portrayed Willard Kraft in “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” (1997-2000), among others, all of which increased his net worth by a large margin.
The new millennium didn’t change too much for him, as he continued to line up success after success, making a stand-up comedy performance in “The Ellen Show” (2001-2002), which was followed by appearing in the role of Governor Kevin in the TV series “Teamo Supremo” (2002). In the following year, he guest-starred in several TV series, and in 2004, Martin won the role of Vlad Masters in “Danny Phantom” (2004-2007), and was selected to play Gene Parmesan in “Arrested Development” (2004-2013), which contributed considerably to his net worth.
To speak further about his acting career, Martin also starred in “American Dad!” (2005-2011), “Two And A Half Men” (2008-2013), and most recently he appeared as Gary Timpkins in “Life In Pieces” (2015-2016), played Bob Bradley in “Veep” (2016), and is currently filming “A Futile & Stupid Gesture”. Thus, his net worth is certainly still rising.
Apart from his acting career, Martin is known in the media as a musician, who released his self-titled debut studio album in 1972. Beside that, he is also recognized as a painter, who has participated in various exhibitions. In addition to that, Martin published the book “Paintings Drawings And Words” in 1995; one of his paintings was used as a cover for the novel “My Sister, My Love” by Joyce Carol Oates and another as a cover for the album “Love Has Come For You”, released by Edie Brickell and Steve Martin, which also had a huge influence on his wealth.
Speaking about his personal life, Martin Mull has been married to Wendy since 1982; the couple has a daughter together. Previously, he was in marriage with Kristin Johnson from 1972 to 1978, and later with Sandra Baker (1978-1981).
