Born Marvin Lawrence Winans on the 5th March 1958 in Detroit, Michigan USA, he is a gospel singer, actor and pastor, best known to the world for being part of the Winans family group, consisting of parents David and Delores, and their 10 children, David II, Ronald, Carvin, Michael, Daniel, Benjamin, Priscilla, Angelique and Debra Renee, several of whom are musically talented enough to be involved in the music industry.
