Meg Ryan Net Worth $45 Million

Margaret was born on November 19, 1961, in Fairfield, Connecticut, US. She was raised in a teachers family – her mother Susan Jordan was English teacher and father Harry Hyra was teaching math.Ryan’s mother was also an occasional actress, so she supported her daughter’s interest in acting studies. Meg Ryan made her film debut in the movie called “Rich and Famous” – an American drama film directed by George Cukor. But actually she rose to fame after a romantic comedy film “When Harry Met Sally” which is now known by almost everyone. Since then Meg Ryan has been able to build her popularity and net worth with every movie she has appeared in.

Meg has made many political donations during her career. At first she donated $500 to the Hollywood Women’s Political Committee, later in 2003, when Meg’s net worth was already large, she was able to donate $2,000 to Wesley Clark for President. She made two more donations in 2004 for Nick Clooney and John Kerry and later also donated to the campaign of Barack Obama. In total Meg Ryan has donated almost 10,000 dollars to different politicians.

Meg Ryan is also known as the purchaser of the famous Bel Air mansion in Los Angeles, California. This beautiful home is surrounded by green hills and inside has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. She paid $8.5 million for it in 2000. One more thing that proves Ryan’s net worth is a Martha Vineyard home – this property is almost surrounded by water on all sides. Margaret is also the owner of a Mercedes R350 SUV – an original mix between minivan, SUV and a wagon.

Meg Ryan married the famous American actor Dennis William Quaid in 1991. They were together starring in the movies “D.O.A.” and “Innerspace” and Margaret agreed to become his wife right after Dennis dropped his addiction to drugs. Together they had a child Jack Quaid who was born on April 24, 1992. But the couple separated and divorced in July 2001. Then after five years Ryan adopted a little girl from China. Today Margaret is in a relationship with the American rock singer and songwriter John Mellencamp.

Meg Ryan today is still working as an actress, her net worth continues to increase and she is definitely one of the richer celebrities of all time.

1On why she hasn't been working very much recently - I've been famous since I was a teenager. There are a lot of empty spaces in that. I just feel like I've been filling in the cracks a little bit. I feel very fortunate, very free. (2008)
2Clearly romantic comedy is my franchise genre, I don't mind saying that, it's true. I love doing them and hopefully always will do them. I don't feel particularly typecast because I think I do so many different kinds of things. Whether they're seen or not is another issue.
3The best thing about modern living is anaesthesia. Definitely.
4(Commenting on the nudity and sex in In the Cut (2003)) "You don't go, 'Wow! I get to do a nude scene.' But I love the sex scene in this movie. It was scary, honest and raw. But people could find my body very unattractive. There could be a backlash against it".
5People say that chivalry is dead, I don't think that it's dead, I think it's just got the 'flu!
