Melody Ann Thomas Scott was born in Los Angeles, California USA on 18 April 1956, and is an actress who began her career at the age of three. She is probably best known for her Nikki Reed role in one of the most popular soap operas of all time, “The Young and the Restless”, making the actress a star and which has been one of the most important sources of her net worth.

Scott was raised by her grandmother, and attended the University of Southern California majoring in music. She was only a small child when she started with acting, singing, tap dancing, ballet and jazz within Ethel Meglin’s group The Meglin Kiddies, and later at the Hollywood Children Theater and the Three Arts Studio. She performed various stage productions and her early theater performances include “Heidi”, “The Bad Seed”, “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Summer and Smoke”. She also shot many commercials , including for Kelloggs Rice Krispies. She also appeared in various television shows that marked the 60s, such as “My Three Sons”, “Ironside” and “Wagon Train”, all of which contributed to her net worth.

Melody scored her first movie role as a child actress, playing the young Tippi Hedren in 1964 movie “Marnie” directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and continued to appear on screen through the 60s both in guest and regular roles. In 1970 she played Abigail with Clint Eastwood in “The Beguiled” directed by Don Siegel, who cast her again in “Dirty Harry”, again with Eastwood.
