His hair had thinned considerably by the time he was asked to reprise the role of Dimitri Marick on All My Children in 2013, and after meeting his co-star Thorsten Kaye (Zach Slater) and seeing Kaye's thick head of hair, Nader decided to shave his head almost completely bald. "I am not competing with that head of hair!" Nader said in an interview.

Studied at the Actors Studio and Herbert Berghof Studio while in New York appearing in off-Broadway plays.

He played a beach boy in Beach Blanket Bingo (1965), along with Linda Evans's character Sugar Cane, an up-and-coming singer. Years later they worked together on TV's Dynasty (1981).
