Michael Charles "Mick" Avory (born 15 February 1944) is an English musician, best known as the longtime drummer and percussionist for the British rock band, The Kinks, joining them shortly after their formation in 1964 and remaining with them until 1984, when he left amid creative friction with guitarist Dave Davies. He is the longest-serving member of the band, beside the Davies brothers.

Having been in The Kinks for 20 years (from 1964 to 1984), he was in the group longer than anyone other than the Davies brother, Ray Davies and Dave Davies.

Although he quit The Kinks in 1984, to be replaced on the drums by Bob Henrit, he stayed on working at Ray Davies's studio, Konk, and contributed to work on Kinks tracks after he quit.
