Mike is a former professional ice hockey player – nicknamed ‘The Brick’, after his father, Bill’s furniture company – having played professionally in the position of a centre from 2000 ‘til 2012. The centre position player ended his career playing in the team of the Pittsburgh Penguins, as he had long experienced repetitive hip trauma, and the Pittsburgh Penguins offered him only $500,000 per year.
