Ming-Na Wen was born on the 20th November 1963, in Coloane, Portugese Macau, and is an actress best known to the world as Jing-Mei Chen in the TV series “ER” from 1995 until 2004, as Doctor Aki Ross in the film “Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within” (2001), and as Melinda May in the TV series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013-2017). Her career has been active since the mid- 1980s.

Although born in Coloane, Ming`s parents divorced when she was still a toddler, and her mother moved her with her to Hong Kong, alongside Jonathan, who was Ming`s older brother.
