Kennedy, well known for his wide vocal range, began teaching the guitar, but has been invited as a guest on live shows, and participated in recording sessions of many bands in recent years. Since 2004, he has been the vocalist and guitarist of Alter Bridge alongside guitarist Mark Tremonti. Before that, between 1993 and 1996, he was the singer and guitarist in jazz fusion band Citizen Swing and subsequently led the alternative rock band The Mayfield Four that split in 2002. He is also active as a solo artist; Myles Kennedy has been active in the entertainment industry since 1988.
