Noam Gottesman (born 1963) is a New York City-based, Israeli-American businessman and former hedge fund manager known for co-founding GLG Partners. He holds dual citizenship in the United States and United Kingdom and is listed on the Forbes 400 list of richest people in America as having a net worth of $2 billion, as of April 2014.Noam is known for an array of investments including Lyor Cohen's 300 Entertainment record label, Eleven Madison Park restaurant and Moda Operandi. He owns a significant contemporary art collection including pieces from Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud.In 2008, Gottesman sold his 14,700-square-foot mansion in London's Kensington neighborhood to billionaire steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal. The $196 million sale turned the mansion into the most expensive home in Britain at the time. That same year, he paid $34 million for a former ice factory in downtown Manhattan, tore it down and built a 12,000-square-foot home.
