Patrick Aloysius Ewing, Sr., was born on 5 August 1962, in Kingston Jamaica, and is a retired basketball player, known for playing in such teams as the Orlando Magic, Seattle SuperSonics and New York Knicks. Although Patrick has retired from playing basketball, he currently works as a coach for the Charlotte Bobcats. During his career as a player, Patrick won various awards, including NBA Rookie of the Year, Big East Player of the Year, NCAA Final four Most Outstanding Player and many others, although he was never in a championship winning team.
