Patsy Kensit Net Worth $10 Million

Patsy Kensit is a younger child of James Henry Kensit, a gangster associate, and Margaret Rose Doohan, a publicist. She has an older brother named James, and is of Irish descent on her mother’s side. Having been in the entertainment business from an early age, Kensit pursued formal education in acting, first at the Italia Conti Academy stage school, and then at the Corona Theatre School.

At the age of four, Patsy started building her acting resume by appearing in television commercials. That same year, she made her acting debut in the British comedy film “For the Love of Ada” (1972). Her next movie role came two years later, when she appeared as Pammy Buchanan in the American adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” (1974), starring Robert Redford, Mia Farrow and Sam Waterston.

Soon, she secured a role in another book adaptation, this time as young Estella in the BBC miniseries “Great Expectations” (1981), based on Dickens’s classic novel. She also starred in TV programs for children, such as “The Adventures of Pollyanna” (1982) and “Luna” (1983). Her net worth was well established.

The mid-to-late 1980s marked her rise to fame, both as an actress and as a singer. She starred in the British rock musical “Absolute Beginners” (1986) alongside David Bowie, and next came her perhaps most recognizable role to date, in the second movie of the popular action comedy franchise “Lethal Weapon 2” (1989), in which she played Rika van den Haas, the love interest of Mel Gibson’s character. The movie was a critical and commercial success, and was followed by another two entries.

As for her music career, Kensit was signed on with Sony Records in 1988, and had two hit singles with her band Eighth Wonder; the singles “I’m Not Scared” and “Cross my Heart” reached 7th and 13th place on British charts respectively, and the former song was also featured on the soundtrack for “Lethal Weapon 2”. Patsy also had a successful collaboration with Eros Ramazzotti, when the two released a duet “La luce buona delle stelle” in 1987.

Next, she starred in the British-American drama film “Twenty-One” (1991), along with Jack Shepherd and Rufus Sewell. For this role, she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead. Another critically acclaimed feature was the 1995 romantic drama movie “Angels & Insects”, based on a novella called “Morpho Eugenia” (1992), which also starred Mark Rylance and Kristin Scott Thomas.

In the later stage of her career, Kensit found success on television, starring as Sadie King in the British soap opera “Emmerdale” from 2004 to 2006, and also appeared in three seasons of the British medical drama series “Holby City” (2007-2010). Kensit continues to act, recently taking part in the romantic drama mini-series “Tina and Bobby” (2017).

With regards to her less-than-private personal life, Patsy has married four times, firstly to Dan Donovan(1989-92), secondly to Jim Kerr(1992-96), the lead singer of Simple Minds with whom she has a son, and then to Liam Gallagher(1997-2000) of Oasis, with whom she has another son. So far her last husband was Jeremy Healy(2009-10). Other public relationships have been with soccer player Ally McCoist, and rapper Killa Kela. She says that she’s an ‘… a la carte catholic…’ but ….?
