Paul Reiser was born on the 30th March 1957 in East Side, New York City USA of Jewish ancestry. He is a comedian, actor and writer, still well known for the role he landed in the television series “Mad About You” (1992 – 1999). He was also inducted into the list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time by Comedy Central. Paul Reiser has been accumulating his net worth being active in the entertainment industry since 1982.
How much is the net worth of Paul Reiser? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the wealth of the celebrity stands at $40 million, as of mid-2016.
Paul Reiser Net Worth $40 Million
To begin with, Reiser was educated at Stuyvesant High School in New York, and later matriculated at the East Side Hebrew Institute in Manhattan. He graduated from Binghamton University, where he majored in music (piano, compositions). He was active in theatre productions, and founded The Little Theatre That Could, an organization of the theatre company at Hinman College, now known as the Hinman Production Company.
Paul stayed in New York to prove and improve his comic abilities. He received an important role in the film “Diner” (1982) directed by Barry Levinson, in which the character of Modell earned him the attention of film producers and directors; Hollywood has noticed his skills. The film also helped other actors to make a career, as Kevin Bacon, Steve Guttenberg and Mickey Rourke were also noticed and subsequently managed to make a fortune. Reiser continued his successful career playing the role of a detective in “Beverly Hills Cop II” (1987) directed by Tony Scott. Reiser also had roles in the James Cameron’s film “Aliens – The Final” (1986), in Jerry Rees’ “The Marrying Man” (1991), the comedy “Bye Bye Love” (1995) directed by Sam Weisman and other films.
Having a look at his career on television, Paul was well known for the role of one of two possible fathers of a little girl “My Two Dads” (1987 – 1990). Subsequently, he achieved a great reputation for his role as Paul Buchman in the popular sitcom “Mad About You” (1992 -1999), in which Helen Hunt starred with him in the role of his wife. For his work in the above mentioned sitcom, Reiser received a number of nominations: Emmys, Golden Globe Award, American Comedy Award and Screen Actors Guild Award; unfortunately, he won only the Viewers for Quality Television Award for the Best Actor in a Quality Comedy Series. In the final season of the series, he and Hunt were paid $1 million per episode. In 2001, Reiser had the dramatic role of a man who no longer hopes to find his biological mother, after finding out that he had a serious illness, in the television film “My Beautiful Son”(2001).
Reiser has also written two books, “Couplehood” and “Babyhood”; both appeared in the list of best sellers of the New York Times. Thus, writing has also increased the outright size of Paul Reiser’s net worth.
Finally, in the personal life of the comedian, actor and writer, Paul married Paula Ravets in 1988. The family has two sons.
