Paula Ann Zahn, a famous journalist and newscaster, was born on 24 February 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, and is Jewish by birth. She is best known as a journalist, broadcaster, actress, and TV producer.

Zahn was raised in Canton, Ohio and Naperville, Illinois, with three brothers and sisters. Her mother was a school teacher and an artist, and her father was a sales executive in IBM. She went to Central High School Naperville for higher education in 1974, and graduated from Stephens College Columbia, Missouri, with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She participated in beauty pageants as a teenager and went up to semi-finals of the 1973 “Miss Teenage America Pageant”.
In 1978, Zahn started her journey in mass media as a journalist and worked for 10 years on different platforms all around the state. She was hired by ABC news in 1987, on which she hosted a weekend show, and from there she embarked on the journey of co-anchoring “World News This Morning” and imparting news segments for “Good Morning America”, which brought more fame in her professional career.
In 1990, Zahn switched to CBS news and co-anchored “CBS The Morning” until 1996. In 1992, she gave coverage to the Winter Olympics in Albertville, France and in 1994, the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. She then started hosting the “CBS Evening News” and “48 Hours”, which took her to nine years with CBS.
In 1999, Zahn joined FOX News and worked with them for two years. In September 2001, she joined CNN, where she spent her first day by covering the terrorist attack on the United States. Zahn also hosted “American Morning with Paula Zahn”. During the Iraq war in 2003, she hosted a two hours program “Live from the Headlines”. She effectively completed many challenging and difficult projects with CNN.
Zahn has won the Emmy Awards nine times in her career and also received the AWRT award. In her successful career, she has interviewed many famous personalities including Presidents Bush and Clinton. These days, Zahn is hosting her News Magazine series “On the Case with Zahn” on the Discovery Investigation Cable Channel.
In her personal; life, in 1987 Zahn married Richard Cohan, and remained in this relationship for 20 years, but then, she finally decided to divorce her husband. The couple has three children.
