1It sounds so trite but in relationships, you have to communicate.
2I think that being a conscious parent opens your eyes to the fact that any adult relationships that you have, whenever children are present on a daily basis, that they're modelling how they get along with people by what they see how you get along.
3At this point, I'm spoiled. I've actually had a really blessed career.
4I don't smack him around. I don't yell at him. And if he wants to go to the park in his pajamas, I don't care.
5I started college Pre-Med. That lasted about half a semester.
6I'm pretty political when it comes to human rights and things like that.
7My bones are tired from all the tragedy in me.
8We live in a country where people still get beaten to death because of their sexual orientation.
9People are first and foremost Republicans, first and foremost Anarchists, first and foremost a man or woman, and that is a mistake. It hurts the individual and it hurts the whole.
10And then, all of a sudden, you're like, all that's great and fun, but Arthur Miller's in my dressing room. This is the third night he's been here and he sits in my dressing room for an hour after each show, and talks to me for an hour. So I'm pretty spoiled right now.
11I think that every show on television has its place. I think Married With Children or, I don't know, The Nanny... some people want to go home, turn on the TV and be able to iron their clothes or grab a sandwich. Come out and catch a joke and not have to follow the story.
12I'm moved to think about the political state of our country right now. Most people who go out and vote have a very clear sense of what's right and wrong. And a lot of those people who don't aren't sure, so they don't go out and vote.
13I'm very wary of large groups of people getting together and trying to believe the same thing. It never seems to end well, whether it's political or religious or whatever.
14Well I'm not much of a singer. But it's been a really nice time to do film, television, theater and have it all happening at once. That wasn't planned but it just happens.
1In a relationship with Lauren Graham, his co-star on Parenthood (2010) [2011]. First met on the set of Caroline in the City (1995).
2No relation to Brian Krause.
3While pursuing his acting career in New York University's Master of Fine Arts acting program, he worked as a bartender with writer Aaron Sorkin at the Palace Theater.
4Krause spent his youth immersed heavily in track and field and gymnastics. Following a career-ending high school pole-vaulting injury, Krause took to the stage during his education at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota.
5For Six Feet Under (2001), he originally auditioned for the part of David, as he was impressed by the political/human rights message that the role had and he wanted to stand up for the character. However, the creator, Alan Ball had found the role of Nate Fisher impossible to cast, and was impressed by Krause and his tangible chemistry with Rachel Griffiths (Brenda Chenowith).
6Was pre-med at Gustavus Adolphus College before switching to his final major of English Literature.
7Peter's father was a high school English teacher, and his mother was a second grade teacher.
8MFA in Acting - New York University, Tisch School of the Arts (1990).
9First child, a son named Roman, born 2001.
10Last name is pronounced KROW-zuh. (KROW -- rhymes with "wow".).
11Attended Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minnesota. Has a sister, Amy Krause, and a younger brother.
