Born to French parents in Italy, the family moved to France in 1924 in order to avoid the rise of fascism. During his upbringing, Pierre’s father was trying to get Pierre interested in architecture, however, from an early age, Pierre was inspired by fashion. He left home when he was 17 years old, having already worked for three years as a clothier’s apprentice, and been trained in design and construction. Once he branched out he found a job in Vichy, working for a tailor and started making clothes for women. Several years later he headed to Paris and not wanting to leave his father disappointed in him, started studying architecture but also continued on with his dream of finding a spot for himself at the fashion house of Paquin after the end of the World War II. Focusing solely on his dream, Pierre collaborated with Elsa Schiaparelli and was then appointed as the head of Christian Dior’s tailleure atelier in 1947.

Just three years later Pierre went solo, and started his own fashion house; the following year, he made a name for himself by designing more than 30 costumes used for |the party of the century”, a masquerade ball at the Palazzo Labia in Venice. In 1953 he joined the world scene of haute couture, and in 1954 launched his well-known “bubble dress”. Pierre really rose to prominence during the ‘60s and ‘70s, setting new trends in the fashion industry, including the combination of the “mini” and the “maxi” skirt, then “mod chic”, and won several awards during the period, including EUR Award, and the Golden Thimble of French Haute-Couture Award for most creative collection of the season, in 1977 and 1979.

He slowed down his new collections from the start of the ‘80s, taking a break until the mid- ‘90s with an exhibition held at his bubble house in Cannes, attended by at least 150 journalists and clients.

Pierre had built up a brand name not only in the fashion industry but also managed to extend his kingdom to several other areas, putting his name on everything from key chains to pencil holders.

To speak further of his enterprises, Pierre bought Maxim’s restaurants back in 1981 and had several objects opened in London, Beijing, New York, and rebranded to hotels. In 2001 he bought the Marquis de Sade castle ruins, located in Lacoste, Vaucluse, and has put an effort into rejuvenating the place, and it is now the home of various music and dance festivals.

Regarding his personal life, Cardin has always managed to keep his private life from the media; apart from the fact that he was in a relationship with actress Jeanne Moreau, there is no other public information.

Pierre is known for his philanthropic activities; since the early ‘90s he has been serving as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, and in 2009 he was also nominated for the spot of Goodwill Ambassador of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. His philanthropic activities have been active since World War II, when he volunteered for the Red Cross.

Have you ever wondered how rich Ken Levine is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Levine’s net worth is as high as $15 million, an amount earned through his successful career, which has been active since the late ‘80s.

Ken Levine Net Worth $15 Million

Ken was born into a Jewish family and grew up in Flushing. After finishing high school, he enrolled at Vassar College, located in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he studied drama. He then moved to Los Angeles, California in order to pursue a career in film, primarily as a screenwriter.

Unfortunately, Ken didn’t have much success, though he did write two screenplays. So in 1995 he became a game designer at Looking Glass Studios. His first creation was the successful first-person stealth video game “Thief: The Dark Project”, on which he worked with Doug Church. After this success, Ken left the Looking Glass Studios, joining Jonathan Chey and Robert Fermier to start their own studio, first called Irrational Games.

Their first video game was the “System Shock 2”, which is a sequel of “System Schock”, released in 1994 by the Looking Glass Studios. The video game came out in 1999, released by Electronic Arts and became one of the most successful games at that point in time. Inspired by their success, the trio continued their collaboration and three years later issued their second game “Freedom Force”, also through the Electronic Arts. However, their most successful game became “BioShock”, a first-person shooter, on which Ken worked as a story writer and creative director. The game became an immense hit, increasing Ken’s net worth to a large degree. In 2013 they released “BioShock Infinite”, which is a third part of the franchise, however, Ken and his Irrational Games didn’t work on the second part of the game, as they let it be done by 2K Marin. The sequel became even more popular, though it didn’t have any relationship with the previous two installments of the game; Ken was credited as lead story writer and creative director. Since then, he rebranded the Irrational Games to the Ghost Story Games, and is working on a new video game, which is yet to be released.

Having acquired popularity as a video game story writer, he again tried to come through as a film and television scriptwriter; he has successfully worked on a script based on the novel “Logan’s Run” in 2013, and is working with Interlude on writing a pilot episode for the TV series based on “The Twilight Zone”

Regarding his personal life, Ken has kept his most intimate details as secretive as he could; hence, there is no information about his life in the media.

A major name in fashion, how wealthy is Roberto Cavalli? Sources state that Cavalli has amassed a fortune of over $500 million, as of late 2016. His net worth has been established through his involvement in fashion, and his assets include several houses, such as the luxury hilltop villa in Florence, in which he has been living for over 36 years. The extravagant estate, with pools, a vineyard and a stable of racehorses, is more like a museum of fine art. Cavalli also owns a helicopter, a 62–foot speedboat, and three luxury Ferrari sports cars.

Cavalli was raised in an artistic household, as his mother was a tailor and his grandfather, Giuseppe Rossi, an acclaimed member of the Macchiaoli group of painters in Italy. He attended the Academy of Art in Florence in the late ’50s, where he focused on textile print, making prints on knit that put him on the map in the eyes of major hosiery companies in his homeland. He began making T–shirts and jeans that caught on with young Italians, paving his way to recognition, and establishing his net worth.

In the early ’70s, Cavalli patented a leather printing technique, which earned him commissions from acclaimed design houses such as Hermès and Pierre Cardin. He soon presented his first women’s collection in Florence, followed by a short-lived line for men. Soon afterwards, he opened his first boutique in Saint-Tropez, France, and his net worth started to rise.

However, popularity of the minimalistic-chic fashions of new wave designers that dominated in the mid- to late-’80s, Cavalli seemed to lose his footing in the world of fashion during this time, focusing more on his private life. However, in the late ’80s, he began to apply artistic techniques to denim. Then, in the mid-’90s he presented the first sand-blasted jeans in Milan, and invented stretch jeans with Lycra, which gained an considerable popularity. He soon opened several more boutiques in Italy, and during this time he also began showing women’s lines at the Milan Fashion Week, earning a great following among fashion–forward men, women and particularly celebrities, among them singers Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera, soccer star David Beckham, the acclaimed rapper P. Diddy and the entire cast of the “Sex and the City” TV show. By the end of the decade, he had launched Cavalli Jeans, a youth oriented line which was later renamed to Just Cavalli, reinforcing his status in the world of denim and reviving his design house’s success. His wealth was significantly boosted.

Cavalli’s first store in the USA was opened in 1999, bringing the designer an enhanced level of fame and financial success; in 2004, his sales in the USA were estimated at $150 billion.

In addition to clothes, Cavalli also designs housewares, accessories, watches, jewelry, fragrance, footwear, swimsuit, underwear and eye-wear, and aside from fashion, Cavalli has also been involved in other investments, including owning several luxury cafe-stores around the world.

The acclaimed designer has created some of the world’s finest outfits, but despite being in business for over 45 years now, at 76 he is reluctant to retire, despite all that he has accomplished. His successful career has enabled him to achieve worldwide fame and to earn an impressive fortune.

In his personal life, Cavalli married Silvanella Giannoni in 1964, and the couple had two children. After their divorce in 1974, he married beauty queen Eva Duringer in 1980. They have three children together and the family resides in Florence.
