Priscilla Barnes was the third of four children of a father who was a major in the US Air Force, and a homemaker mother. She grew up in California after her family settled there, and went to Antelope Valley High School, from where she matriculated at age 17. Barnes then moved to San Diego to work as a waitress and dancer, where comedy star Bob Hope ‘discovered’ her in a fashion show, and she joined his company for a short time, after which she moved to Los Angeles to try her luck in the movie industry.

Well in 1976 Priscilla’s luck turned, and she debuted on the screen in an episode of a Golden Globe Award-nominated series “Cannon”, then in “The New Original Wonder Woman”, and an episode of “Columbo”.After several other minor roles in TV movies and series, Barnes played in the Golden Globe Award-nominated “The Love Boat” from 1978 to 1985, while from 1981 to 1984, she played Terri Alden in 70 episodes of the Golden Globe Award-winning show “Three’s Company”. In 1989, Priscilla appeared alongside Timothy Dalton in “Licence to Kill”, while in 1992, she had a part in “Perry Mason: The Case of the Reckless Romeo”. In the mid-90s, Barnes was cast in the Golden Globe Award-nominated “The Crossing Guard” (1995) with Jack Nicholson, David Morse and Anjelica Huston, and in “Mallrats” (1995) starring Shannen Doherty, Jeremy London, and Jason Lee. By the end of the ‘90s, Priscilla had appeared alongside Loren Dean, Hope Davis, and Jason Lee in “Mumford” (1999), steadily building her net worth.

In 2005, Barnes played in Rob Zombie’s “The Devil’s Rejects” with Sid Haig, Sheri Moon Zombie and Bill Moseley, while in 2006 she had a role in “The Visitation” alongside Martin Donovan, Edward Furlong, and Kelly Lynch. Priscilla ended the decade with such movies as “Thr3e” (2006) and “Trailer Park of Terror” (2008). In 2010, Barnes appeared in “Elevator Girl”, while from 2014 to 2016, she played Magda in 27 episodes of “Jane the Virgin”. Most recently, she filmed “Jonny’s Sweet Revenge”, which will be released in April this year. Her net worth continues to increase.

Regarding her personal life, Priscilla Barnes married Ted Monte in 2003, but otherwise information is lacking.

2[about her first audition for Three's Company (1976) for the role of Cindy that she lost to Jenilee Harrison] I read for them, but they turned me down. They wanted someone younger. In Hollywood, you're over the hill when you are 25.
1Her personal favorite episode of "Three's Company" is titled "Cooking with Jack" (first aired on March 23,1983), where her character Terry, along with Janet, assist Jack on a TV cooking segment. She loved that episode, even though she acknowledged she did little, since her character stared into the camera with a frozen smile mesmerized, while Jack and Janet fall apart as they experience their own version of stage fright.
2Steven Spielberg wanted her for the role of Willie Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), but she couldn't accept the role because she was still working on Three's Company (1976).
