Little is one of three sons born to Lawrence Preston Little, who was a doctor and his wife, Elizabeth. While still in high school, Rich started doing impersonations, and with Goeff Scott formed comedy duo, and began performing in Canada`s night clubs, initially focusing on impersonating Canadian politicians, Prime Minister John Diefenbaker and Ottawa mayor Charlotte Whitton.

In the 1950s, he became a part of the Elgin Movie Theatre in Ottawa, working on improving his impersonating skills, trying new voices. All this led to him releasing an album, on which is his unique recording of the “Christmas Carol”; he impersonated over 20 voices on his own to complete the show. Thanks to that, he was asked by Mel Torme to audition for the “Judy Garland Show”, and he was accepted, subsequently impersonating several celebrity stars, including James Mason. This really sparked his career, and since then, it has only gone upwards, and so has his net worth.

Rich then appeared at “The Hollywood Palace”, and since has appeared in numerous variety shows as an impressionist, but remains known for impersonating Dean Martin, and hosting the “The Dean Martin Show” from 1965 until 1974, which certainly increased his net worth by a large margin. Other shows include “The Merv Griffin Show” (1965-1979), “The Mike Douglas Show” (1965-1978), and “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” (1967-1982), among many others.

He also launched an acting career, making his debut in “This Hour Has Seven Days” (1964), and two years later was selected for the role of Stan Parker in the TV series “Love On A Rooftop” (1966-1967). By the end of the 1960s he had made several cameo appearances in TV series such as “That Girl” (1967), “Green Acres” (1969), and “The Pink Panther Show” (1969). In 1971 he gave voice to Richard Nixon in the TV series “All In The Family”, and since then has portrayed Nixon in films “Another Nice Mess” (1972), “Bébé’s Kids” (1992), “The Presidents” (2003), and “Fan-O-Rama” (2016), which certainly increased his net worth by a large margin. Also in the 1970s he hosted his own show “The Rich Little Show” (1976), which only lasted for one season, and appeared in several TV series including “Hawaii Five-O” (1977), “Police Woman” (1977), and starring in the film “Christmas Carol”, voicing every character.

In the early 1980s Rich appeared in the films “Dirty Tricks” (1981), with Elliott Gould and Kate Jackson, and “Nuts And Bolts” (1981), and also gave the voice to David Niven`s character Sir Charles Litton in the films “Trail Of The Pink Panther” (1982) and “Curse Of The Pink Panther” (1983), as Niven had health problems. Three years later he appeared in the film “One Crazy Summer”, with John Cusack and Demi Moore, and in 1988 had his own special entitled “Rich Little: One’s a Crowd”, impersonating numerous celebrity stars. His net worth rose steadily.

After the 1980s ended, Rich focused on other things, and has made only a few appearances since, including in “The Late Shift” (1996) as Johnny Carson, and “Futurama: Bender’s Game” (2008). He is now working on the “Fan-O-Rama”, which will be released in late 2016.

Thanks to his skills, Rich has received several awards, including a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1983 for his contribution to television.

Regarding his personal life, Rich has led quite a life, being married four times. His first wife was Jeanne Worden(1971-89); they had one child. His second wife was Jeannette Markey(1994-97). In 2003 he married Marie Marotta, but she died in 2010 after a sleeping pills overdose. In 2012 he married Catherine Brown. Rich also has a daughter, Lindsay Cottrell, but her mother`s name remains unknown to the public.

Rich is recognized as a philanthropist, supporting several causes, including health, as he is a part of the Juvenile Diabetes Fund, among many other projects and organizations.
