Richard Moll is a son of Harry Findley Moll, a lawyer, and Violet Anita, a nurse, and grew up in California, where he went to the University of California, Berkeley. During his childhood, Moll reached a height of 6 ft (1.8 m) by age 12, and kept growing to 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m).

Moll recorded his first on-screen credit when he appeared in an episode of the Golden Globe Award-nominated series “Family Affair” in 1967. His movie debut came in 1977 in Tom McGowan’s “Brigham”, while in 1979, Richard appeared in the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated TV movie “The Jericho Mile” starring Peter Strauss, Richard Lawson, and Roger E. Mosley. In the early ‘80s, Moll played in such films as “American Pop” (1981), “Caveman” (1981) with Ringo Starr, Dennis Quaid, and Shelley Long, and “The Sword and the Sorcerer” (1982). From 1984 to 1992, Richard played Nostradamus ‘Bull’ Shannon in 193 episodes of a Golden Globe Award-nominated series “Night Court”, while the same year, he appeared in two episodes of a Primetime Emmy Award-nominated “The A-Team”.

Moll continued with roles in such movies as “House” (1985), “Sidekicks” (1992) alongside Chuck Norris, Beau Bridges and Jonathan Brandis, and in “Loaded Weapon 1” (1993) starring Emilio Estevez, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jon Lovitz. From 1993 to 1994, Richard lent his voice to Norman in 40 episodes of the animated series called “Mighty Max”, and in the meantime he played in “The Flintstones” (1994) with John Goodman and Rick Moranis. Moll ended the decade with parts in “Jingle All the Way” (1996) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, “Living in Peril” (1997) starring Rob Lowe and Jim Belushi, and in “But I’m a Cheerleader” (1999), adding steadily to his net worth.

3Deep gravelly voice
#Fact
1Best remembered by the public for his role as Bull Shannon in Night Court (1984).
2In between filming seasons of Night Court (1984), he grew his hair back. Many would then mistake him for his Night Court co-star John Larroquette.
3Before his audition, the creators of "Batman: The Animated Series" had set their hearts on a Marlon Brando-"Godfather"-esque style voice for the villain Two-Face. Moll's raspy, growling voice changed their plans completely and the new Two-Face became one of the more popular of the comic book-adapted villains on the show.
4He was cast in Night Court (1984) not only for his comic skill as an actor, but also because the producers needed someone who could realistically tower over the fairly tall male cast (including Harry Anderson and John Larroquette) as the imposing yet lovable court guard Bull Shannon.
5Is an avid fly-fisherman.
